Macau Cultural Centre is one of the largest public building projects ever initiated by the Macau Government and is located at the New Harbour Reclamation Area in Macau. The building has a total construction floor area is 42,000 mē and was completed within a two year period. The MCC comprises an exhibition building, theatre building, car park and artistic water features. The exhibition building is five storeys high and houses a museum, several exhibition halls and ancillary facilities. The theatre building houses a 1300-seat theatre and a 400-seat conference centre. The MCC incorporates an advanced comprehensive building management system and environmentally sustainable design, which represents modern contemporary architecture in Macau.
