Top Builders Awarded Contract for Wynn Cotai Driven PPC Piles Works

Top Builders is pleased to announce that it has been awarded one of the three packages for driven PPC piles works in Wynn Cotai. The scope of works comprises preboring and the driving of approximately 1800 PPC piles in the site in 2 separate phases.

This is the second contract awarded to TB for works in Wynn Cotai after ground improvement works in the development last year.

Top Builders Awarded Contract for Galaxy Phase 2 Carcass 2 Superstructure Works
(銀河2期第二結構部份上蓋工程)

Top Builders is pleased to announce that it has been awarded the Structural Carcass 2 contract for the superstructure works in Galaxy Phase 2. It is one of the three carcass contracts handed out by the owner for the superstructure works for Galaxy Phase 2.

Carcass 2 structural works include construction of a two-level basement, three-level podium, pool decks and villas. It has a construction floor area of 73,000m2, and has an approximate concrete volume and reinforcement bars of 50,000m3 and 11,000tons accordingly. The works started in Dec 12 and is expected to be finished by Aug 13.

Galaxy Phase 2 Foundation & Substructure Works Update

In anticipation of the start of Galaxy Phase 2 superstructure works in early 2013, piling, excavation and substructure works are being carried out in the site by various contractors with a target completion date of end of 2012. Top Builders, being responsible for the ELS and substructure works on the site, has managed to complete approximately 65% of the ELS works and 35% of the pile caps up to the end of Oct.

Top Builders held company annual Mid-Autumn Festival dinner in Macau Fisherman's Wharf

On the 27 Sep 12, Top Builders held the annual Mid-Autumn Festival company dinner at the Macau Fisherman's Wharf to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival for 2012. In response, more than 400 people including Top Builders' employees, their families and Top Builders' business partners also attended the dinner. Along with the tasty buffet were also numerous prizes to be won through games and the grand lottery. Congratulations have to be made to the lucky person who, out of 400 people, managed to win the first prize – a 40-inch television!

Top Builders International Co. Ltd. Awarded Contract for C385 Construction of Superstructure for Macau LRT Depot (輕軌一期車廠上蓋建造工程)

TBI is proud to announce that it has been awarded a joint-venture contract worth MOP 555M by GIT with another company for the construction of the superstructure for the Macau LRT Depot. This is the third light rail project landed by TBI after the Transportation Interchange in front of the Jockey Club in Taipa (氹仔柯維納馬路交通樞紐第一期建造工程) and C360 Light Rail Construction for Cotai District (輕軌一期路氹城段建造工程).

The Macau LRT Depot is designed to function as a parking and maintenance headquarters for all future light rail trains. The works therefore involve the construction of a stabling yard for train parking, the depot main building (which incorporates the workshop and maintenance area, the electrical services building, the administration area and the fixed installation maintenance building), and several other ancillary buildings.

The scope of works includes pile cap foundations, superstructure, ABWF and fit-out works, E&M and landscaping.

Top Builders International Co. Ltd. Awarded Contract for C360 Light Rail Construction for Cotai District (輕軌一期路氹城段建造工程)

TBI, along with two other partners, were recently awarded a joint-venture contract worth over MOP 800 million by GIT for the construction of 4 light rail stations and a light rail viaduct of approximately 3.3km starting from Pai Kok road in Taipa to the Cotai East Zone. This is the second light rail project landed by TBI after the Transportation Interchange in front of the Jockey Club in Taipa (氹仔柯維納馬路交通樞紐第一期建造工程).

The scope of works includes foundation works (piling and ELS works), the construction of pile caps, abutments, viaduct and light rail stations, as well as all fit-out works, E&M and landscaping.

Top Builders International Co. Ltd. Awarded Contract for Transportation Interchange in Taipa (氹仔柯維納馬路交通樞紐第一期建造工程)

TBI was recently awarded a substantial contract worth over MOP 400 million by GIT for the construction of a transportation interchange near Macau Jockey Club in Road Oliveira, Taipa. The transportation interchange is designed to be an important transportation hub for future Taipa, and consists of facilities such as a lightrail train station, an underground car park, a bus terminal, a community center and pedestrian walkways.

The scope of works includes piling and ELS works, sub-structure, superstructure, fit-out works, E&M and landscaping.

Fund-Raising Climb in Mt. Kinabalu (神山)

Last month, 4 of our colleagues volunteered to participate in the fund-raising climb in Mt. Kinabalu (神山) in Malaysia, a charity event organized by the Lighthouse Club. Top Builders and our employees have also made donations in support of the charity event. We would like to thank those who made such donations, and especially would like to congratulate the 4 colleagues who bravely participated in the event.

Top Builders International Co. Ltd. Awarded Contract for Galaxy Phase 2 Foundation Works (銀河2期地基工程)

TBI has been awarded a substantial contract for the foundation works in Galaxy Phase 2. The works covers a site area of 35,000m2, and comprises demolition and site cleaning, hoarding, excavation and lateral support (including the cutting of pile heads), and the construction of pile caps, basement slab and retaining wall.

Top Builders held career-talk in the University of Macau

Last Saturday, Top Builders, amongst a host of other international companies, was honoured to be invited by the University of Macau (UMAC) to participate in a career-event for students studying in the Faculty of Engineering. The event was aimed to assist engineering students to make a more informed choice on their future career upon their graduation from the UMAC.

Top Builders was glad to be able to help out students in every way we could and was overwhelmed by the enthusiastic responses from students on the day!

Top Builders International Co. Ltd. Awarded Contract for fit-out works for the Macao Judiciary Police Office in Edificio Xin Hua (司法警察局新華大廈裝修工程)

TBI was recently awarded a joint-venture contract of worth MOP 115M by DSSOPT for the refurbishment and fit-out works for the Macao Judiciary Police Office in Edificio Xin Hua, where TBI takes a 40% stake in the joint-venture. The project comprises fit-out works for 14 floors, including MEPF works, in the existing building. This is one of the major fit-out works awarded to TBI since the fit-out works in Malo Spa & Clinic and Mong Há Social Housing Phase 1.

Top Builders International Awarded Contract for Coloane Ka-Ho Tunnel – Section 1 (路環-九澳隧道-南戶外路段(第一區)建造工程)

TBI was recently awarded a contract worth MOP 128M for the construction of the 1st section of the Coloane Ka-Ho Tunnel by GDI, with TBI taking 40% stake in a joint venture with two other local contractors. The total length of the road is 1.2 km.

The works include the cutting and filling of a total of over 80,000 m3 of soil and rock, the use of bored piles with dia. from 600 to 1200 mm (with retaining walls), the installation of rain water and sewage underground drainage systems, and the construction of base and pavements of the road including all traffic accessories.

Top Builders Group Ltd. Awarded Contract for Link-Bridge between Venetian Parcel 2 and Parcel 5&6

TBG was recently awarded a contract worth over 100M by Venetian Macao Resort for the construction of a link-bridge between Venetian Parcel 2 and Parcel 5&6.

The link bridge is approximately 160m in length and is made of structural steel. Its features include the use of aluminium cladding, curtain wall and metal roofing system. The middle abutment of the bridge is supported by a bored pile of 80m in length and 2.5m in diameter, while PPC piles are used in both ends of the bridge.

Top Builders International Awarded Contract for Construction Works in Ilha Verde Lote 3 (青洲坊)

TBI was recently awarded a joint-venture contract of MOP 600M by GDI for the construction of social housing in Ilha Verde Lote 3, in which TBI takes a 50% with another local contractor. The project comprises the construction of a basement (3 stories), podium (3 stories) and 2 separate towers of 34 stories, which in total includes 289 car parks, 276 bike parks, 808 m2 of commercial area, 8,800 m2 of social area and 770 residential flats.

Construction-wise, the whole complex is supported by over 100 bored piles of dia. 1 to 2.5 m with depth 35 to 55 m, while over 60,000m3 of soil is to be excavated. Furthermore, in order to fast-track the project, TBI has decided to deploy the “top-down” method, a building technique which allows a high- rise superstructure and its sub-basement to be built simultaneously. TBI is confident that this method will bring successful completion of the project, despite the uncommon use of it in the Macau construction scene due to its difficulty.

Top Builders International Awarded Social Facility Fit-out Works for the new Mong Há Social Housing Phase 1

Top Builders International was awarded the Social Facility Fit-out Works for the new Mong Há Social Housing Phase 1 by the Gabinete para o Desenvolvimento de infra-estruturas.

The BaiSun Ceremony (pictured above) was held on 1st April 2011 to commemorate the commencement of this six month Contract valued at MOP38,600,000. The Contract scope includes building fit-out works and associated mechanical and electrical works.

Top Builders Group Ltd. Awarded various contracts for Venetian Parcel 5 & 6 Resumption Works

TBI was recently awarded various trade contract packages for Venetian Parcel 5 & 6 Resumption Works. The scope of works of these contracts include completion of the remaining concrete structures, modification of existing structures, external works and hard landscape works, etc. These contracts are part of the essential advance works to be completed at the early stage, prior to the resumption of the development in full scale. It is anticipated more contracts will be taken out for tender shortly and Top Builders will be actively involving in the tender. The commencement ceremony was held on 4 June 2010 at Venetian Parcel 5 / 6 Site. A number of guests took part in this memorable event. Being a Chinese Culture to pray for safety and successfulness, our Managing Director Forest Tang took the lead for cutting roast pigs. Five roasted whole pigs were finished by the attendees in minutes !

Top Builders International Awarded Site Formation Contract for Depot Area for Macau LRT Phase 1

TBI was recently awarded the contract for Site Formation of Depot Area for Macau LRT Phase 1 by Gabinete Para As Infra-estruturas de Transportes (GIT). This is the first major contract awarded for the Macau Light Rail Transportation System. The scope of the work includes site formation for the Light Rail Depot and relocation of the Firemen Training Centre in the vicinity of Macau International Airport. The opening ceremony for the project was held on 8 September 2009 at the new Depot site. A number of project Stakeholders and industry associations attended the opening ceremony including GIT, Gabinete para o Desenvolvimento de Infra-estruturas (GDI), Direccção dos Serviços para os Assuntos de Tráfego (DSAT), Macau Construction Association, Macau Construction Machinery Engineering Association and PAL Asiaconsult Ltd.
